I already saw my brother playing it once, it seemed a really boring game to me, so I never ended up even trying it.
Also the short of "League of Legends" is LoL, lol, so it's kinda awkward asking someone "hey, do you play LoL?", I can only imagine the following conversation:
- So, what's your favorite game?
- LoL
- What's so funny about my question? o.O

Still, it has some nice visuals and effects, but that's about it at least imo.

well if its boring it matter on the person of course.
I can tell you that is not as boring if you actually play it :p.
in fact it can be exciting, especially if you go up against a team that is just as good as your team.
action doesnt occur as much as on fps , so you do have to be more patient

I think we've established very few folks on here have English as their first language.

@Rakiayn: Yeah, of course, it's just a matter of opinion. I am more into fps, not matter which ones, that's why that anything slower or with less action ends up being boring to me.

@EvilGrins: I am one of those people actually (I think I have established that as well, and it's not just a "few" folks, I would say more than half here). I also commit mistakes, but that one from him was just epic to me, worthy of a small harmless friendly joke.

My brother plays it and it looks boring to me always playing the same map and (if you want to become good) the same character. However, I do understand why people like it.

Well ...yeah, I was somehow a little bit sleepy.
It's a good reason but no excuse.

So it is some tower defense with many hero characters?

no. you do have to destroy towers though. you have minions to help you do that.
ofcourse the enemy team also has minions. your base keeps spawning these minions. and they walk to the enemy base until they meet the enemy minions and they start fighting.
as a hero you have to push the lanes by killing the enemy minions and heros and destroy their towers until you get to there base and then you have to destroy the enemy nexus to win.

I like these kind of games (but I completely suck at them ). Out of those games I mostly play Stronghold: Crusader and Age Of Mythology.

those used to be two of my favorid games
me and my friends often used to play 2 vs 2 stronghold crusaders
one time we were playing with 3 players (free for all) for hours and all our fortresses were undestrucatble.
so we agreed to send our kings, only our kings, to the centre of the map to battle to the death.
ofcourse one of my friends took an army with him XD

league of legends is not much like these games though.
you cant build anything, you can only control your hero.
learn abilities ,buy better items, etc...
