Actually, there's a funny story regarding the cake. The first one that my sister made ended up in our dog's stomach (half of it, to be precise) due to the fact that the dog is quite large for its age - one year - and the cake was meant to be hidden from me until the next day. The hiding place was a poor choice: the perch on which we chop wood during the winter, just enough for little (or big) Gaia to snatch it... We all made sure that the second one was guarded as well as Tal Rasha's tomb (Diablo II).

I sure hope she's happy, because she's not getting any more treats for a very long time.

I think he means that it's in that age when someone's personality and view of the world solidifies, and if the parents do it wrong you may end up with a criminal or a completely twisted person, if they do it right, you may end up with the nicest person in the world, it all goes down to how much love the parents give and how much shit the child has to go through, and how he/she endures it. And personally, I agree with that.

To clarify, your parents, friends and other people around you effectively mold you into either a masterpiece - i.e. a civilized, educated person who knows what respect is - or a useless mass of clay - i.e. a person whose mental stability may be questionable, or rather a complete delinquant in class like the ones I have to put up with almost every day, who shun others who think otherwise than their little group of "perfection" - they have no respect - not for themselves, nor others.
