Can't wait for the arguments to start.
"No! UT should be more like this"
"No not like that, like this!"
"hell-no! way too much of that, there needs to be more of these"
"Uggg it's to fast"
"No it's too slow"
"To many vehicles!"
"Not enough vehicles"

Like I keep saying; As long as we get the engine and framework, we can make the rest how we want, after they finish messing with what they think we would like.

For me, I know there will not be enough zombies and dinosaurs.

Not your fault.
Maybe they deleted that topic.

You are not alone. Even my PC is slow and old(Pentium Dual Core) :D

Feeling Nostalgia. Happy to know about the reincarnation of UT, but sad to say that it won't run on my computer with such poor GPU. :?

Interesting to speculate about system requirements for UE4-based games. From the videos over the last year - while it will probably be quite scalable - the engine looks like it will put all of the power one could throw at it to good use.

The mean thing will be "not UT enough" and "Not UT2004 enough".
I won't even try to care about this new UT. I'm fairly happy living in perpetual 2005 when UT2004 was the latest game. I want to forget everything that happenned (and will happenned) since then.

An Unreal Tournament Sequel?

Post by {S.o.W}DeathMask »

Title says all.

I've been on the backstage these past weeks (I opened a restaurant with my family so I gave priority to the business first) so don't worry, TDB is still growing and closer (even if by a little) to the release.
But I'm not talking about TDB this time.

I was informed about a possible release of another chapter for Unreal Tournament, so I went searching for some proof.

Here is what I found.

All I can say is: My fellow Unreal Tournament Fans, let's hope.

Maybe I am mistaken, but from what I saw this is simply a project started by the community, which got the attention from Epic and now they want to simply talk about it and define some "directives" about it (maybe giving the community their official support?).
Anyway, personally I am not really thrilled with it. Just like Flay pointed out, regardless of what comes from this there will be very strong opinions against it in one way or the other. Some want UT1, some want UT2k4, a few want UT3, and in the end a new one won't be absolutely any of them at all and most people will keep themselves to one of those titles.

Still, looking forward of what Epic has to say about it and what comes from this.

The entire world and its mother know, it's the hot news laltely in the Unreal community.

What I like is how everyone loves Epic but has clearly no expectations. It's like "yay everyone, let's do this I guess", but with next to no hope of having something good.

Not everyone though, some people are really enthusiastic ;)
