2 problems: player slowing down and mouse dropping slowly

When i play multiplayer over LAN,
one of my friends has the problem that his mouse cross-hair is slowly dropping when he stands still
and every time he is killed and comes back his running speed is a little slower.
After a few more kills it's so slow he almost doesn't move anymore.
Does anyone now a solution ?

??? This sounds really odd ...for any speed problems I would blame the multi-core CPUs and would recommend a fix for it.
But a piling up slow motion issue?
I never heard of such a thing.

Is their PC configured well and drivers up to date (including the Mobo chipset) ?

Without the specs, OS, etc. there is nothing that can be offered except good luck.

The 'slowing down' does indeed sound like a multi cpu problem, I'll guess you have xp too then since OS after know to assign one core. Don't forget turn off speed step in the bios, disable laptop power saving modes on windows. Try a server than runs ACE since it has built in cpu fix functions. For the mouse try 'cpl mouse fix', reboot. Turn mouse smoothing off in the game options. report back pls

Assuming that didn't work, check overheating computer components, and if it did work better on ACE then you might want to try a program like 'StartAffinity'. Once again report back pls!
