August 2015 Release
NO MAN's SKY
Do you know that this hasn't been done (or will/won't be done)? I watched the videos and did some more reading on this but didn't find any such specific parameters for inclusion/exclusion.Wises wrote:they need a new algorithym which can change slightly the world details if say for example the giant worm / snake creature reshapes the terrain or an atomic bomb / asteroid hits the surface.
be good to be able to revisit planets later which have been damaged by devastating disasters of this nature.
another thing would be if animals are killed.. do they decay or do scavengers devour them?
also cities will there be procedural cities created from neanderthal civilisations upto modern SCIFY type cities?
for now however it looks beautiful.

yes making a huge mod on that game.Red_Fist wrote:Think a planet that has all the quake 1 story and characters. another with all the bad ones from Unreal, and a third planet of Humans and refugee Nali.
The other two planets are fighting and the human planets objective would be to conquer the other two planets.
Say you had to blow up 1000 things on each planet and good enough so they don't rebuild fast.
so you (Human and Nali) would have to infiltrate each planet, or many strategies to take over both bad planets and win.
But if one of the other two planets one side wins their war, then both enemy planet comes after the human one, IF you don't degrade and kill the enemies before one side wins.
there how is that ? !
It would need the same art from each game, Epic, and id. Maybe the human planet could be Star Trek elite force, same game characters. Nali meet captain kirk.
