Critics could argue that the story is much like Episode IV: A New Hope. They used a lot of tricks/techniques from the other movies to get the look and feel back. But isn't that what we are here to see, more like the original trilogy?
I saw it in 3D in the opening weekend. The 3D really worked out well, there were a lot of scenes where you actually felt like you were flying the X-wing, or participating in the battle. It was also nice to see the old cast again, reminding us that lives moved on there too. In contrary to previous movies, the humour didn't come from R2-D2 and C-3PO for a change -- this time there were actually funny stormtroopers. Can you believe it?
But this movie could also be seen as the opening for Episode IIX and IX. There are a lot of things still unclear, there are a lot of plotlines that were (re-)opened and we can already see the general direction in which this is going. I think the analogy with BB-8 and him looking up to R2-D2 is also pretty strong, with R2-D2 passing on his role onto BB-8. Who knows what else we will see, looking forward to it.
With all that in mind that they are at least part 8 and 9 they still have to make.
There was also a spinoff movie planned for 2018.
Part 8 will be finished in 2017.
Plus i realy like that Disney put some healthy effort into the starwars.
i remember when i was young i did see those starwars parts from the old trilogie.
And was playing with the kenner star wars figures with some familie members at that time.
Those big chips from the dark side was 1 made from props like they made from the first parts 4,5 and 6).
And 1 chip was made digitall, and it looks all awsum.
When this movie comes out on dvd or bluray i,m the first person who bying this movie.
I was there at the movies i did have reserved for star wars part 7.
I was a half our before time there , later when i did sit before the silver screen some people came and 15 minuuts later the room was full.
All seats where placed, later i did a look on teletex and i saw that more then 150000 seats was reserved only for star wars only in the Netherlands.
And only during premiere of star wars part 7.
He is on the most wanted list for biggest grossing movie of all time.
Only jurasic park holds the record for biggest gross movie of all time.
And stands above star wars part 7.
Now we all have to waith till part 8 comes out and we will see how the saga continu.s in a galaxy far far away.
