I just wanna give a quick advice: to any of whom finish up and release any map at all, please do not convince yourselves it's working at 100% yet, and thus it may have to get some fixes and other changes right afterwards.
So I suggest that, for the first map versions, that you add "RC" to the zip and mostly to the map filename itself (as in "Release Candidate" because that's what they are), like so:
DM-CMC-MyMapName-RC1.unr

This is mostly to avoid online mismatches, because there's always someone who downloads even alpha versions of packages and starts distributing right away like if they were final versions, causing mismatches all over the place.

From there, only for the final contest zip/umod file with all the maps, should the maps have their final names (DM-CMC-MyMapName.unr).
This is just an advice, which comes from seeing way too many of these situations all over the place, in which all of a sudden a map or any other package stops being used once the admins don't know which is the right version, or the servers get emptied because half of the players get mismatches.

Should be. I can't do much about the weapons. They are already off the floor by a lot. That would be Chaos being weird.



Edit:When it comes to map names I understand. I at first thought it wasn't a big deal. If someone wants to be dumb and distribute the wrong map then that's on them, They will lose players. But it is a lot easier to just do that in the first place.

I was a little iffy about it because that would mean a ton of versions.

Actually no the ammo isn't. With Chaos UT set to replace UT weapons and ammo, the Claw is partly buried in the floor but can be picked up. The UtilityGun ammo by the door in the main ground room is buried in the floor and can't be picked up (it has, I think, a -25 Z LocationOffset - did you take account of that?) and

I fixed that already. I did in deed walk through the map. You should download the latest before saying this. Corssbow ammo was in the map just fine. At this point I'm extremely annoyed at ChaosUT.

One thing that's been happening is that the ammo has gravity. So when the map starts a lot of them fall to the floor. Games probably borking after that, but I've not seen things fall through the world.
I'll open the map and study an ammo spot just to octuple check.

I've been looking at the version created at 02.42.

Does your UT log record anything of what I have experienced?

@barbie I agree 10000%. Working with it like this has been really eye opening to the issues.

I just realised I'm useing XC_engine.



EDIT2: Check a fresh install: It had the corruption issue on the thumbnail but no other ammo issues(only the air gun ammo being kinda high, That's not my doing) Logs show the same as above.

Well, there's not much else I can say if no-one else reports any issues of ammo falling out of the world or being buried in the ground.

yeah I even checked a fresh install and didn't find those issues. I only ever noticed shock ammo being slightly in the ground. Even though the editor shows them floating off the ground. So I'm not sure. But they do fall to the ground on map start anyway so this is all a big concuse fest :omfg:

A personal note that should be taking into acount:

I really put much effort and energy in this map, and I really tried to max out everything i could.
Gameplay, Bothpathing, secrets, sounds, fun, gameplay and filesize etc,,. Please consider this in your review. You will find this back in the map.

Anyway good luck and have fun.

They will definitely crash your party.
