I was hopeful that subject wouldn't be brought up in this very topic, but I kinda expected someone to mention it, and that's part of the reason why I only logged in today.
So, here's a quick state of affairs:
- Yes, I am "back" for what it is worth.
- No, there won't be a NW4 or a NW IV, not exactly at least (NW3 has peaked in more ways than I ever imagined, so it's time for something else).
- There are in fact ongoing "plans" and actual development to do something better, but these are long-term plans (months, maybe a year worth of development at least).
Having that said, later on during this week, I will probably open another topic specifically to explain things in more detail, such as my intentions and other things, but it won't be today.
Today is the first day of 2018, so let's all just relax and enjoy it.

Ferali, little question.
Could you from the NW3 package, make only the weapons, lossless actors. I'm liking number 3, (The war-ready-shotgun something) very much.
It would be cool, if you permit it, to have the weapns separated from the big package. And some other people may have this question too. I encountered this with online gameplay.
So I and others can place it in maps more.
But this is just a humble question. If you say no, I understand.

NW3 was developed in such a way that you can already do that.
All you need is the package file where the actual weapon is, and NWCoreVIII.u file itself which is the main NW3 engine, which means that in this case you would need just the NWWREVIII.u and NWCoreVIII.u packages from the mod, and you would be good to go.
For nuclear weapons another package is actually needed as well, it's the NWNuclearFXVIII, where the nuclear stuff resides, but other than that is that straightforward.
I would suggest however that if there are any specific questions concerning NW3 or any other mod of mine, that it's preferable to open another topic under Modifications to not clutter this one.

I have been meaning to tell you about nogardilaref. He keeps saying bad things about you and stealing your old mug from the staff room.
You will have to confront him about it. Odd, he was here before you came back in.
He looks familiar, but I can't quite put my finger on it (it could be the glasses, as we all know that wearing glasses will disguise a secret identity)

If you really want to do some of the best weapons ever, go play Quake1 addon " PainKeep" , the most fun and best stuff I ever played with, a frigging riot.
The pork and beans, bear traps, the grapple that worked like it should since it don't stick to every surface and you must hold a button to stay stuck, that ricochet nailgun friggen blast !!!, I miss Painkeep quite a lot.
And the lightning gun that will spread out to all the players in the same room, requires a bit of luck, but skill as well.
It must be the quake1 version, the next one they did was not as good, I think the quake3 engine version, was not near as good.
And that airfist, you can deflect rockets and things back, was hard to use but practice, was so damn FUN, all those rocket spammers, LoL

Like I said, plans have already been set into motion for a while already, and they will take a long time to finalize, and I will provide more details later on in a different topic.
