Server not in master browser

Hi UT legends

My DM/CTF server rented from gameservers.com does not show in the master browser.
Explains why I sit on my own on the server most evenings but I digress

Server is online and accessible by ip - 173.199.74.120:7777

No help from me I kind of have the same issue...I run a server but can't see it either.
But I've read that you shouldn't be able to see your server if you run it from your
home PC...which I do. Then again when I first started up my server 10 years ago I was able to see
it without a problem.
Any who, your server does come up via IP and you've got plenty of help here for sure.

I just caught Darkelarious before he went AFK
He looked at what he is seeing.

interesting, when looking up the server it says it's already on the database, but when browsing, it says it's not in the database....

He thinks it is something he can fix in the next version so it does not happen, but for now community brainstorming is our option.
Perhaps after some sleep he will have an idea what is wrong.

A ticket couldn't hurt.

Also, have you checked all the normal things, such as "Advertise Server = True" etc. in the .uni file?
And ...
Are your Browser Masters up to date to match the current master servers?
The answer to your problem I believe is on your own forum - same as I was thinking, and posted by medor of course.

Update:

Opened a ticket, got nowhere.

Did a full wipe and reconfigure of server and its back in the master browser.

Even had a few players join straight after itw as ready. Funny how that happens when you can actually see it!

Confirming that it still is there: Unreal Survivors :: Classic DM and CTF
For reference to people ending up in this thread with the same problem, some mods actively modify the response to \status\ queries and \secure\ queries. These queries are necessary to determine whether the server is an actual UT server and whether it is properly configured for outside connections. If a server fails to validate, it is rejected from the masterserver list.

If nothing else works and you think you have the same problem as described above, start with a clean server and add settings and mutators separately and see if that affects whether or not your server shows up. Also keep in mind that the masterserver remembers your server for at least 15 minutes, so it sometimes is hard to discover when your server stopped working. Any (server) mutators that have the text "Query" or "UDP" in the name, are candidates that potentially may break your server, so try disabling those mutators to see if they caused the problem.

For now, glad that it got fixed.
