Well, let's go ahead and get this out of the way then. The map I'll be submitting is DM-Deck16][. Yes, that one in your maps folder.
<exhales slowly>
Yes, I know it's an existing map.
Yes, I know it's not 'my' map. The contest stipulates and I quote
come up with an unusual idea
and I happen to think that no one has ever tried to submit a stock map. I think Deck is awesome and this is certainly an unusual idea ;)
No, submitting a stock map does not violate the rules (I looked). Don't blame me, I was the one who said you should make a clear rule set.
No, this is not me trolling. I fully intend on submitting Deck as my map for the contest.
Spoiler
Now, you know I'm not that type to ruin a contest so you then also know that I'm up to some shenanigans. I certainly am. Thinking outside the norms is what keeps me interested.

I know I'm walking the fringe of good taste so I also ask patience and that you don't judge until you see the end result.

paper as contest dictator I am happy to outline what I am doing so as to not upset you. I'm just trying to stir the pot a little :D
So long, and thanks for all the fish

Something like this https://www.epicgames.com/unrealtournam ... hill-plays
It's a bag full of UT merchandise.

What it contains doesn't matter nearly as much as the fact that they are still paying attention to us here. That means way more than a t-shirt.

You can... you have time till the 10th of December.
But it would be nice if you make a new map for the contest.

I have another Quake 1 map (BSP rip) done that I had to resize since 2004 on my system. Would it be ok to turn it into a MH map and be legit ?
I didn't make the brushes (one brush)

I already have the DM done and redone, the lighting I redone and fixed some other things from my first round Quake original. I could even shove that in the zip.

So that way I can work on making an MH out of it and not have to think up a brand new map.

My next map I am going to try a city map, next year or maybe some day. But I don't have the time so much anymore.
