[Unreal 227i] - SemiBeta NyLeve's Falls

Maps, mods and resources ported from or to Unreal.
Must run in UT99 or with Oldskool Amp'd.

[Unreal 227i] - SemiBeta NyLeve's Falls

A few recently recovered screenshots gave me the idea to recreate the Vortex-crash-scenario Unreal's trailer showed us.

These shots were a great help as they matched up with the version the trailer depicted. They were a lot better quality, and showed the crashed site from a different angle revealing the whole scenario.

A called it semi-beta to point out the fact, that Unreal may had this crash-scenario used somewhere in it's long development line.

The newly recovered screenshots and a few images I took from the trailer:

One can clearly see the differences including:
-Not two, but three waterfalls are present!
-An overall darker atmosphere
-The different Vortex Rikers-crash-scenario
-Plants on top of the ridges
-Some plants had to be removed from the bottom level tho
-The crashsite has a different texture
-They used more of those cool-looking blue light emitting columns
-The hidden Warlord Encounter were present at the time they took the shots so I restored that as well

The map will ony work within Unreal, patched up to 227i due to the usage of static meshes.

Not portable to UT99 at all ?

It is. Only 227 stuff need to removed and static meshes need to rebuild as brushes.

Yes, Krullor is right.

I decided to convert those rocks because they seemed to be the key reasons of some BSP oddities. it was the easier way. :P

Good to see you took all the notes I told you when I played the map back in 1998 - NOT!

Jackass. The green lighting wasn't there at all if you paid any attention, you seemed to remove it from the main area thanks to the screenshots but you didn't do it with the stuff that wasn't seen.

Why do I even bother with you? Why did I bother telling my story to you month ago? You don't even use any of it.

You still messed up with the place where the nali hut/small pool is. To begin with, all those "original screenshots" they are from not one, but three versions. Second, you didn't really make the crater that VR left that was even more pronounced in the other version on top of the cliff before the ship bounced down.
There weren't the plants and green lighting and the pool was also missing.
Even if you take the screenshots into account, that aerial shot clearly shows differences in the terrain at the back of the rikers where in release version the pool is....

There is also an earlier version of this setup found in the gamestar video, that nyleve still doesn't have skybox. And the encounter with "bigger brutes" you can see in the pc gamer video.
