333networks logos

Post by Dr.Flay »

A call to arms !
or rather paint brushes.

333networks needs some new logos, so rather than just relying on our own team as usual, we thought we would ask the community to contribute.
Currently we have a few variants and individual logos to match a few of the games we support.

You can be generic or specific to a theme or game.
2D or 3D, hand painted or hand made in UEd it doesn't matter.

How do you see 333networks now ?
How do you think we should be presenting ourselves for the future ?

More importantly Darkelarious has threatened that this will be our logo if we don't make something else.

You wouldn't want that .... thing.... would you ?

Literal 5-minute sketch (just as an idea, I don't intend to do the full vectorial myself):

Interesting Idea Ferali.
Maybe I can change it up a little bit.

Do you think our current logo is ready for retirement? Always wanted to see your artwork on the 333networks home page? Here is your chance! Create your own logo and submit it to us! Join the challenge on http://333networks.com/logochallenge !

In this challenge, we invite you to create a new logo/banner for our website. You may submit your design until the last weekend in March. The best submission(s) will be featured on 333networks.com!

We are looking for logos/banners that reflect 333networks: the games for which we provide support, the effort we do for the community and a bit of retro+fun. That can be one unique style, but it can also be a series of similar logos, that all represent different seasons, seasonal holidays, different games, or different game characters. We encourage you to be creative and think outside the box.

Read more on http://333networks.com/logochallenge about the rules and how to submit your artwork!

Guys (m/f), I only received 1 ("one") submission on logo-challenge@333networks.com so far.. if you have a contribution to make, read the challenge rules above and make a submission!

Reason for the logo challenge rules is that we can't just go around the internet and download some cool logo's. There's a copyright thing involved and I do not want any confusion about whether something should be considered a submission or not. Additionally, since it's a challenge and we'll be calling out a winner, we need to set the specifications on which we decide the submissions.

@Terraniux I like the 2nd and 3rd examples.
It does strike me that as a 3 reversed becomes an E.
That it looks odd without it being more obvious that it may be a reflection.
I wonder if a negative flipped 3 would enforce it is not an E.

Logo Challenge 2020!

Challenge recap
In the past few weeks you all had the chance to create and submit new logos. In this challenge, we invited you to create a new logo/banner for our website. The best submission(s) will be featured on 333networks.com!

and we have a winner!

From all submissions, we chose the logo that scored high on a number of criteria:
  • featuring "333" and/or "networks",
  • readability and visibility of the logo,
  • attractiveness and pleasant to look at,
  • feeling of familiarity.
To us, it was very important that it was possible to build a fitting style around the logo to match our enthusiasm for first person shooters and the intended audience. We think that the current logo and style reflect this.

If you think that other submissions would have been better, or if you would like to compare this logo with the other submissions, have a look at the Logo Challenge 2020 page!
