In my constantly keeping up on various forums, I noted something interesting from an Unreal1 group known as the Sniper's Paradise:
Lower left, note the rocket.
SP had a functioning player pawn for the Warlord. A flying, rocket firing, Warlord.
You can see it listed near the bottom here:

I tried adapting it to UT with no luck.
Anyone else want to take a stab at this?

Are you sure it flies and fires rockets? I summoned the WarlordBot from that package and it did neither (the animations have been reworked to remove the flying and rocket firing anims from the basic Warlord mesh).
I think the SP AlienWarlord is based on this (but I may be wrong) - it's a Botpack.TournamentMale Warlord and Bot:- One problem is that the Warlord carcass remains unaltered and so it doesn't disappear unless gibbed - the mesh doesn't have 'dead6' animations with the consequence that sometimes the Warlord is killed and remains standing, not disappearing until the game ends. The movement/walking animations are a bit odd, as you can imagine given that the Warlord usually flies, and consist of short steps coupled with the rocket-firing animations. It fires but doesn't hold normal weapons.
I think the screenshot shows an AlienQueen?

Yes, like that but outside of it. Was kinda hoping to find a way to play as a functioning Warlord that wasn't coop.

Wouldn't a flying/rocket-firing Player WarLord have an unfair advantage over other normal players and bots?

Less so if the other players also had access to the same kinda thing.
I used to do aerial duels with Quantum Jets vs Warlords in the HallOfGiants... it's all relative.

So if you played as AlienWarlordDirk and used a flying mutator, the only thing you wouldn't have is the ability for fire warlord rockets (and no flying animations).

What do you mean outside of it? It is playable on Deathmatch etc. too.

Outside of Coop, as in being able to do something that one usually does with coop but without using coop.
