I was young when the first movie run in theatres ...and even so it was a nice experience together with a big pack of popcorn... it was a hell of cheesy flick.
This one looks actually very interesting.

It's probably another movie tooting the "make video game movies great again" trumpet. Anyone remembers Doom: Annihilation? Welp, me neither! Point has been made.
That said, there do exist good video game movies. So there is a chance this might turn out to be good! I really, really hope the wizard's curse doesn't get its grubby hands on this movie. From the trailer it really makes me wonder what the plot is about, it makes me curious about the story and thirsty for the action, which is nothing short of a good thing!

"Everyone is an idea man. Everybody thinks they have a revolutionary new game concept that no one else has ever thought of. Having cool ideas will rarely get you anywhere in the games industry. You have to be able to implement your ideas or provide some useful skill. Never join a project whose idea man or leader has no obvious development skills. Never join a project that only has a web designer. You have your own ideas. Focus on them carefully and in small chunks and you will be able to develop cool projects."

The first Mortal Kombat movie was pretty great, but the 2nd was total garbage.
There's been a scattering of decent fan films and mini films since that were pretty decent.
