Screenshots for fun
Re: Screenshots for fun
I've probably said it before but those models are really cool - right up there with the best custom models.

Re: Screenshots for fun
Rikia, you ever thought of taking screenshots during team games? Show your model in full combat situations.

Re: Screenshots for fun
I recommend trying out ReShade to make some artistic photos with your screenshot compositions! For example, GShade is a ReShade preset pack with plenty of existing presets to choose from. I know ReShade works in UE1, but not sure if GShade does!

Well, not plan to do it with my budget laptop and OCD fighting. Actually I used ReShade on UT2004 years ago and it gave me some problems in the editor.
RTNP trip will be started probably on Friday, and I need to recompile my skins on this week, but weird things going on like that damn gamebanana errors 503 did not let me to start my work today.

Re: Screenshots for fun
Doesn't that require above-average hardware? The way you put out that sentence is kind of condescending, it's like you wished everyone did it.
For some reason, in a way it reminds me of those types of people who always play Minecraft with "shaders" enabled. When I did play Minecraft, I always did without shaders. I like the plain look better. Just a quick little side note I felt like putting here lol.
"Everyone is an idea man. Everybody thinks they have a revolutionary new game concept that no one else has ever thought of. Having cool ideas will rarely get you anywhere in the games industry. You have to be able to implement your ideas or provide some useful skill. Never join a project whose idea man or leader has no obvious development skills. Never join a project that only has a web designer. You have your own ideas. Focus on them carefully and in small chunks and you will be able to develop cool projects."

Re: Screenshots for fun
Think I'm understanding the OCD now.
Not that you have to Rikia, but it seems like you're primarily taking posed shots of your model... which isn't "fun". It wouldn't be any big deal except you're doing it daily.
Because of the insane number of screenshots I take I got in the habit of posting once a month, not that you're under any such obligation... but maybe take more than just posed shots.
It's getting a little monotonous.

Sorry, what? Would you break down what the condescending part was?Gustavo6046 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 16, 2021 6:01 pmThe way you put out that sentence is kind of condescending, it's like you wished everyone did it.
As for requiring a strong rig, uh, maybe? Not really? When it's about screenshots, you can simply run the game with the shaders off, then briefly toggle them for the moment you take the shot, with a hotkey. Reshade by itself shouldn't consume much/any resources while shaders are off.
