Windows Server - Help - why all games start with all weapons and Ammo?

Hi There,

Old skool UT Player from back in 99 - 00. Getting carried away with setting up a dedicated Windows server.

I followed the setup instructions from http://mistrealm.com/ut/UTServerBuild.html for a base setup - no bells or whistles.


I have then installed:

Nexgen112N
NexgenPlus100
NexgenPlayerLookup202N
ipToCountry-1.6 (not sure this actually works)
UltimateNewNet Beta 1e

& that's about it - but for some reason, I cannot work out why all games start with all weapons and ammo available. To my knowledge, I have not enabled any Mutators or Mods. Would someone kindly point me in the right direction?

When you say "all games", do you mean every game mode? What game modes are you trying to run?
And did you try without the Nexgen and/or NewNet?

Welcome to the forum!

Thanks for the supplied info, this makes it easier to pinpoint issues and deduct possible causes.
UN1e by default should not give this behaviour.
Do you might have any mutators loaded into your nexgen config ? (NexGen Boot)

Try to rename your nexgen.ini into nexgenold.ini and start your server, it should generate a clean nexgen.ini.
Hopefully this solves your issue.

Firstly, Thank you all for your generous assistance.

Today, I cannot replicate the issue I was having - Very strange! Should it happen again I will try the advice given.

I'm sure this is going to be the first of many posts with stupid questions.

My next plan is to fire up a few different UT servers on the same machine - expect some facepalming!

Thanks again and please feel free to drop by the server anytime - I'd love some feedback on the setup (although very basic)
