Think Among Us meets Left 4 Dead, but their child has a flak cannon. And a mushroom in the head.
• About
Mush Match is a social deduction game type.
- Humans need to find out who acts suspicious. Use the Beacon Launcher (slot 1) to make someone's status "Suspected" on everyone's scoreboard screens.
- Mush (uncountable plural) are insidious fungal parasites infecting people's brains. They can eliminate the humans, or infect them with the Sporifier (slot 0). But being caught with the Sporifier out is never a good look...
- Every person has only one life. Make it count!
- If you die, your alignment is revealed. Match ends when a team has no members left.
Suspicion has layers!
- Suspected people have a suspicion beacon strapped to them, broadcasting to everyone: "Hey, I'm sus!" Check someone's status by looking at them or opening the scoreboard.
- Confirmed Mush were hit by a beacon while holding the Sporifier. That can only mean one thing!
- Suspected can be cleared by killing a mush player in the presence of a human player. Confirmed Mush is lifelong - not that that means a lot in this here game.
- Mush can get rid of their suspicion by killing a fellow mush. Don't worry, before you blink, they've infected three more to make up for it!
Bots frame humans. All the time.
- Imagine a huge crowd of bots, stuck trying to get an inventory item above a ledge.
- You so much as lightly bump one of them sussily.
- They all pull out their Suspicion Beacon Launchers, pointing it in your general direction, and each other.
- What happens next? Spoiler: everyone turns on everyone!
This, and much more, only happens in Mush Match.
• Features
- Full bot support! Humans suspect if you hurt or kill people! Mush are sneaky and spore you from behind!
- Supports all DM levels. Ever wanted to port DM-Morpheus to Among Us? Why not port Among Us to DM-Morpheus instead!
- Battle-tested online multiplayer, so even your "friends" can backstab you... and you can backstab them too!
- Extensive mod support, including builtin compatibility with arena mutators.
- Blocks cheaty detection methods. Weapons like the Rocket Launcher usually only home on enemies in teamgames. Luckily, you see, Mush Match is not considered a team game by mutators or weapons. Clever!

• Trivia
Deep Lore for Nerds
The Mush pathogen takes full control of its host's body, and particularly mind. It can
(a) communicate in a way only other Mush can detect (which explains how Mush know whether anyone is a Mush or Human);
(b) are able to produce spores, which can infect someone else and turn them into a Mush too (though, in the original game, they require "spiking" into the bloodstream);
(c) may look and behave just like humans, when not doing anything only Mush can do (such as, in the case of Mush Match, holding the Sporifier).
They behave like a hivemind; this is why they are regarded as uncountable.
In the original Mush, mush take damage from water (in fact, showers are a way to discover mush). This was overpowered in UT99, especially in water-based levels (UT wasn't designed with such twists in mind), so it was removed.
