What is allowed to do with the released NRMC maps during voting?

Post by PrinceOfFunky »

I'm asking this because of what has been said by @UnrealGGecko:

What are the kind of things that can be fixed in the maps aside from BSP artifacts and code bugs?
More specifically I have these questions:
1. Can we add invisible collision hulls?
2. Can we replace some textures with their upscaled versions?
3. Can we add zone portals?
4. If there's a scripted texture, can we add text into it?
5. Can we pack everything into MyLevel (or vice-versa)?

Yes.

But don't make your fixed map public till the voting is finished.
Because only your current entry will be judged.

What about only bot pathing? Is it taken in consideration? Is it relevant? Is it part of the map? Just questions and just curious.

Oh... I thought only the final result was going to be judged, oh well.

Deadline is done, what they see is what they vote for :P
Further fixes are for the mappack only, thats why we ask to publish the fixes after the votes. You can fix whatever is needed to fix, so long as you make it on time.

I put one of those control panel stands to close to the angled brush causing a snag. It looked wide enough, but because it's next to a non vertical brush the collision is farther than it looks. It's not too bad, but that is one thing I should have found, LoL, I am going to leave it since there is a way close around and can jump and can still fit through. so it's not too bad.

You mean the place where you get stuck between a hill and the invisible collision? If you meant that then yeah I know about it, it's the reason why I asked if we are allowed to add an invisible collision hull :D Most of the problems are multiplayer related, but I already fixed almost all of them, not sure when exactly we are supposed to send the final version of the maps, from what I understood it's after the voting ends.
