Now for my reviews of each map:

DM-NRMC-WestSideStory by Jeff "jmartin" Martin

An interesting addition to the contest, the 1961 film adaptation of West Side Story is still regarded as one of the best musical films of all time, so this is a lovely tribute. However that is the only thing this map does, pay tribute to the film but as a map there is no gameplay whatsoever. This map could be a decent flyby map, but definitely not a DM map.

One of the main concerns regarding this map was to make something completely detached from any other UT map.

It's not intended to be a combat simulator as much as it is a sculpture.

That's why there are no lights, textures, sound effects, music or pickups.

The DM prefix is only to insure it shows up in the map selection menu.

And since it is a "No Rules Mapping Contest", this map violates all of them.

Another reason why I voted similarly for Cathode, because it's so off the hook.

I also voted for Rendezvous because of its unique story line and sense of mini-quest. The trophy holding the badge at the end was the perfect finishing touch. I actually got a chuckle out of that.

Congratulations to all the participants. Exceptional work! I really was not expecting that many entries.

It just goes to show, there are still a few designers out there making really cool stuff.
