This is the 3rd map I've worked on, and I realize that all my maps are probably too big which makes them feel empty. If I do another map maybe I'll try a 1-on-1 DM or something that forces me to think a little smaller.
I had hope to squeeze this in as a 2nd contest entry or a bonus map but there's never enough time in the day. With luck I'll be able to finish this CTF some time in February:

That didn't really work out at all. I started on a DM map and it got too big again. It may work with enough bots/players, or could maybe work as a DOM map. Or even a CTF if I mirror it. Anyway here some pics.

Looking good! I have the opposite problem: wanna make big map, can only think of a section or 2 of it then just leave that as a WIP until I dinally think how to connect it lol.

You could combine all your WIP maps into one big FRANKENMAP

It will look like Minecraft with texture mods if you keep on making a cave.
Wait, that's supposed to be a bad thing?
"Everyone is an idea man. Everybody thinks they have a revolutionary new game concept that no one else has ever thought of. Having cool ideas will rarely get you anywhere in the games industry. You have to be able to implement your ideas or provide some useful skill. Never join a project whose idea man or leader has no obvious development skills. Never join a project that only has a web designer. You have your own ideas. Focus on them carefully and in small chunks and you will be able to develop cool projects."
Updated Xvehicles that Buggie made is easier for mapping, though you gotta open a lot of the related packages to get it going; which really isn't much different than the original version.
Map I previously edited with UTDMT I'm adding Xvehicles to, may or may not leave the UTDMT or swap them for some other UTDM-monster. Map already has vehicles on it, though they're props that don't move... makes ideal markers for where to place the Xvehicles.
· Where the tanks are, replace with tanks.
· Where the tractors are, replace with jeeps.
· Where the trucks are... yet to be determined.
