A really nice, atmospheric map - great layout, great textures :gj:

Interesting map name - what's the origin?

Like all of your maps, it's beautiful. Good item placement (indicating you thought rooftop battles would come into play) and the selected music is very on point.

I may edit (you said we could) this for XV, but I'll have to swap out the sniper rifles for something that can fight those vehicles on a somewhat even level.

Looks like I have a .utx file named Mine in my texture folder. Not sure what map it belongs to I'm sure its stock because it doesn't matter if I upload the texture pack included with the zip file or not. The maps runs fine and looks amazing. nice work.

Also, I see a cart and barrel adds taking up the same space.

I have that too, didn't overwrite it and I didn't see any issues.

I recognize this map's origin. Map design/textures is coming from a legendary Quake 1 mapper and his map is called City of Pale:

But the skybox just looks toooo good not to be used ...I can see the influence but Lunic's version has more a Blood Born vibe.

Off-Topic-------------------------
Now I have watched the video fully ...fuuuu that looks awesome. The last time I played Quake was with the original content.
What's the name of that mod? So many (for me) unknown monsters are there. and the weapons look much better.

Looks like a retexture of Daniel "KaMi" Díaz' map DM-Nibelheim, using Benoit Stordeur's textures — giving it new life. Apologies if this assumption is incorrect, I'm guessing by the readme and the screenshots -- I can't actually play the map at the moment, I need to reinstall my UT99. Again.

Lunic you should probably add an acknowledgment of the texture author in the readme.txt

I've often thought there are great old maps out there that would really pop if they were given a treatment with new textures like this :tu:

No, there is really no resemblance - Nibelheim has a radically different layout (and of course different textures). Actually Nibelheim has a much greater resemblance to a Derdak2Rot map (the name of which I forget but it forms a central part of Project Zenephon's NurgleVillage (map zp07)) largely because of the textures used but also the overall form.

Oh cool! Looking forward to trying it out as soon as I get my UT build running again

(I actually grabbed the Nibelheim map at first, which is one of the reasons I was confused. Ebonhelm...Nibelheim  )
