Framerate drop

Post by Tempura »

Starting today, ive been getting real bad framerate drops, feels like its in the 30s. After some monkeying about with settings, i learned it was because of xbots, a mutator that allows custom model loading for the bots to use. While its nice to have 60 fps, i do not wish to fight tamarlane or visse or any character repeatedly over and over again. Boring. i want variety. Any way i can fix this? ive tried various renders such as dx11 and opengl, but no effect.

Xbots doesn't do that, exactly. In that even without xbots UT allows custom model loading.

If the framerate drop has been sudden then the question is - what (if anything) have you changed in your setup recently?

I think more details would be useful.
Suggestions: post your computer model and specs, RAM, Graphics Card, CPU..., upload your log, post your renderer settings.
EDIT: I use XBots all the time, definitely not the issue. :noidea

I guess it has something to do with a recently installed model/skin for a bot.

Screen resolution? What is your OS?
Put your System/UnrealTournament.ini and UnrealTournament.log files here.

This is more than worthy setup for UT99. I have minimum over 160fps 2K@DX11 on similar rig besides my UT install overloaded mods and various bijouterie. Including xbots.
