Because you on high speed wreck into wall. Try drive slowly in teleport and be no damage.

Using different speed (e.g. super slow) and different vehicles, driving forward and in reverse. Always damaged. As I remember, don t running into wall.

For me also: I have my driving licence since 1978 and I'm driving always carefully and slowly  . But the crystal teleporter did massive damage and once I died also in there. Better put a sign there.

I think that the original mapper Thunderbolt has removed the brushes, not Buggie.
There is a monster free version WITH brushes "MH-(dU)Giranbeta".

We all got it from THUNDERBOLT. Stretch back he said he was leaving UT (everybody says that and never leaves) so he was releasing his last unfinished map for anyone to work from.

I guess he didn't rebuild the geometry. At least the invisible obstacle at the house with the PlayerStarts still exists.

No brushes - geometry can't be rebuilded. At least without lost data. Exists tricky way with intersect, but this need insane amount of manual work or develop special tool. And no any guarantee of any acceptable result.

Mover20 is attempt add flat surface here. In hope it fix BSP obstacle. Unfortunately it not fix it.

Since there no brushes, only way affect BSP - use movers as brushes.

Then the mapper who has converted the map to XV, has probably used "MH-(dU)GiranTown(2021)Vx.unr" as template, not "MH-GiranTown.unr". The latter has brushes, the former not.
