On average whenever I make a post here, usually it'll get viewed a couple dozen times the first day.

Normally not something I pay much attention to, but today I made a post and it's already up to 500+ views.

That's weird!

Checked other posts made relatively recently, and they also have unusually high view rates.

This may not be bad, per se... but it's unusual.

Thoughts?

I think those are these crawlers Shade blocked a few days ago.

Yes, crawlers / bots that are not recognized as that by phpBB will affect the views. Sadly there are some bad crawlers around lately that disguise themselves as normal users and therefore affect statistics. I am actively blocking bad crawlers, but I can only do that after they have already crawled alot and are therefore spotted by my script, that analyses the access log daily.
