Fly in MH-December24th
Does anybody know (or guess) what could have been mapper's intention by adding this "DoorFly" in map MH-December24th? Because bStatic is TRUE, the fly cannot be killed, but the door behind is waiting for DoorFly0's Event 'BarrelDamageMover1'.
Also Gasbag0 has bStatic=TRUE...

The package MH-December24th does not contain any readme, but LevelInfo.Author says: "Vatcilli & Titled". Maybe I should ask at OldUnreal.

I am the mapper formerly known as Alucard/Vatcillizeitchef (Sorry, I was still a kid at the time and changed pseudonyms like I changed clothes)
What you found is part of an easter egg, despite appearances pushing a nearby exploding barrel near the door and blowing the barrel up will trigger its events!

Upon closer inspection, the fly may be unnecessary, my guess is either me or Titled initially used it as a method to open the door, didn't know why it didn't work at the time (the static flag, lol) and forgot to remove it, oopsie!

Gasbag0 is also part of an easter egg If you use "grab" on the door with a bloody handprint, something will open another door and blow it up.
Some of my methods may be weird and unconventional, but I assure you most are intentional and tested to see if they work as intended.
And seeing people try to find the method to my madness fills me with life!

May I modify your map in a way that it fits multiplayer use on servers? Especially the Fly and Gasbag - sadly such things like changing bStatic to FALSE cannot be done on the fly with my MapPatcher while loading the map. Players like to kill ALL monster what isn't possible if it is bStatic.
The modified map would be published with the name "MH-December24th+SBFix" (see UT99 stuff by Barbie for examples).

As the other author, I am totally fine if you want to fix the map, as long as you use a different name.
Now for the other question, why the doorfly exists there. The DoorFly was a real hack and we haven't even considered completionism when I scripted it. It was (as far as I remember) originally scripted for Rise of Evil where certain doors needed to be opened with a chainsaw. By basing it on a scripted pawn, we could more easily track damage.
The actual usage is to trigger a secret, for which I will place the instructions in a spoiler tag.

- When entering the church, go upstairs. The stairs are on the left. Upstairs you will find an exploding barrel.
- Push the barrel down and place it near the "fly".
- Shoot the exploding barrel. This should trigger the secret.
- The secret is mostly auditory and visual. In a way, the weather should change. Have music on for the best experience. If you don't notice anything, the secret is broken.

We probably tried both things but for some reason "bStatic" was set to true and it did nothing so we assumed it didn't work.
then the mover was made, but because the doorfly was invisible neither of us realized it was still there and we didn't remove it.

I don't mind giving it a little update if people list the errors, so far I've got:
-Remove the doorfly
-Fix the gasbag/mime easter egg that it works properly online
-Replace the gasbag with a corpse decoration so it can spawn gibs but doesn't add to the monster count
As a bonus I will probably spruce it up with a little completion cutscene!
