Not needed, a barrel is also on the ground floor at top of the pillar.
(3) works with UT v436, but not with 469, maybe because of changed collision detection and movers-absorb-damage-feature.

Make a Weapon in that map called EightFly... An enhancement to the EightBall
This one shoots Flies that explode... Not only that, they seek any target wether you lock on the Target or not
You can charge up to six, regardless of what the weapon name suggests (Eight)
Auto lock - as Unreal Championship 2 version of the Stinger
Nice map... I will have time to try it in December 24th

I won't promise anything but I share the sentiment and it would be cool if we have a small tribute. The fly that sparked this post could have a small reference in the map. It shouldn't take a lot of time to build so many custom scripts (especially monsters and weapons) are out. We both have other maps we are working on, so any re-release will not be a big project. In addition, it shouldn't negatively impact the flow or theme of the map. With that said, Kayako and I will likely brainstorm tomorrow. Not sure whether we'll think of something that is easy to implement, fun and not mood-breaking but if we do, we'll add it.
Currently, my ideas for tributes include:

- A larger-than-normal fly in the church that you'll have to fight.
- A small extra room in the church with a Nali praying to a statue of a fly.
- A movie poster in the secret room for the movie "Fly Hard". The poster looks a lot like the "Die Hard" cover, but with a fly instead of the face of Bruce Willis.

Get ChatGPT to make Bruce Willis into the fly. With a minimum of effort you could make something amazing. The fly deserves it, we've been talking about it for at least a decade.

Actually, make that fly gun, and have it so the gibs (fly goo) make the victim see less and less with each shot until all black. Lol

- Such a fly gun is a lot of work. We have multiple other maps we are working on and this would just take too much time. We are rereleasing the map, mainly to fix bugs and to modernize it a bit. Don't expect big changes.
- My knowledge of unrealscript doesn't go far enough to feel comfortable trying to make that. There are still problems in the byesridge weapon mod (in multiplayer) and I never succeeded to make proper textures on screen.
- The gun doesn't feel like a good addition of a christmas-themed map. If we would add a gun, it would probably be something to complement the Christmas theme and the snowball gun, like something that slows monsters.
- The requested gun sounds more like a gun for a normal UT weapon mod than for monster hunt.

I remember a Balloon shooting weapon... That is it
& the Rainbow Shock Rifle! I remember the exact area where you unlock it... ^^
And the Japanese Redeemer in the hidden Room... It was one of the few maps I remember that had said Redeemer

So after playing around with the map some, I discovered one thing, the doorfly is in fact essential to trigger the easter egg. On an unmodified UT469 install with only monsterhunt installed it works exactly as intended. It does however not actually "die" which I have now made sure it does! Along with some other fixes.
Current fixes:
-All monsters on the nap (that count towards the monster count) are killable
-Smoke from chimneys now shows up online
-The easter egg with the mime no longer uses a monster so it will no longer show towards the total monster count. you still can't actually activate the easter egg if you use a third-party hack to override "usetriggered" but that's a user choice. It will no longer penalize you with an unkillable monster.
-Some monster spawns have been replaced by Titled's "multimonster spawns" meaning they will spawn more monsters when there's more players
-The final boss health has been lowered but will scale for every additional player. At between 3-4 players the boss will have its pre-patch health.
-Added a little tribute to the star of the map, doorfly.
-Map will be renamed to "MH-December24th2025"
