TLA BT
Re: TLA BT
They don't accept dx9 renderrer, and probably a lot more dll's that came from various mods.
Always kinda liked bt but I rarely finish a map...

Re: TLA BT
It's fun what you get used to it.
We have extra protection now because we have had alot of people crashing the server in the past, we even got rid of ASC because of the hacks but I think we will soon get ASC back on. Sorry if you can't get on, I had to delete some of the mods and mutators I had to get on and I'm sure you can manage without some of them.

I can't live whitout advanced z-buffer precision and onexblending turned off. I might as well use software rendering, at least that looks nice and crispy + transparent textures use additive blending mode.

Alright, I'll try it out again, but the last time I tried BT I hated it. Do you have a list of items that need to be downloaded prior to hooking up?
Edit:
Okay, I tried it. The server runs great! The game type, well, I couldn't get out of the 1st room and gave up, it was giving me a headache. I'm sorry, maybe I'm just getting too old for it.
But then again, maybe not?

BT needs time to get used to. You need to learn how to do it and there are very easy maps and very hard maps, try starting on the very easy maps and get someone who knows what their doing to teach you what to do.

Re: TLA BT
That's why we need a good solid CTF or AS server with minimal mods and a choice selection of maps! (no ZARK)

Re: TLA BT
Well BT must be the gametype with the most poor maps really. There are 100s of maps where no efford is put in or were made by a wannabe mapper who didn't take the the time to make something good.
You must have ran into a map that just plain sucked. I'm afraid BT has lots of those. You should go on a private server with someone and get a bit used to it.
And you are never to old for anything. I once played BT with a 50 year old guy from texas and he did quite well. And I doubt you are much older.

Re: TLA BT
Yeah most the maps suck but I only like playing the well textured and well made maps mostly. But no one ever votes for them sort of maps

Re: TLA BT
Here's a novel approach then. Remove the bad maps, maybe remove mapvote?
I know sounds harsh, but it's an idea. Don't pay much attention to me though. I've just never gotten into the whole jumping thing.
