UT99 Voicepacks

Post by Sergeant Todd »

I've been making UT99 voicepacks for some time now. If there is interest, I'd be willing to post some of them here at UT99.org. Many of them can be found in the UT section at L4Y.com if you're interested.

My sincerest apologies to Sergeant Todd, then. And thanks for setting the record straight Feralidragon.

Went searching after attempting to use the 'L4Y.com' address and began downloading some voicepaks from here: http://ram2000.planetunreal.gamespy.com/skins/Voices/

Does anyone know of a "Family Guy" voicepack for UT99? There are several for UT2004 but I haven't been able to find one for UT99.

I had voicepacks on a CTF server a couple of years ago but never installed one on my AS server. I've found that voicepacks are frowned upon by some. I've heard that you can somehow select whether or not a voicepack is downloaded and installed by the gameplayer, but, I haven't investigated it. If anyone has details, please post.

Best,
SPS

Hi guys. I have a problem :( I've downloaded several VP but can't make them work while in multiplayer... Here's what i've done:

1. unziped the .int and .u files in the UT system folder
2. edited the engine/game engine section in urealtournament.ini as told in the readme files

The result: Works only in single player :(

Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks in advance!

Vasileff,
If you're playing multiplayer on a public or private server, just ask the admin to load the VP for all to use. I've never had one say no....then your voice will be heard in-game by all.

Vasileff it all depends whether the server supports the skin, it's the same with skins. Some servers allow skins and voice packs to be shown even if the server doesn't support them but the other players need to have that skin/voice pack to be able to see/hear it.
