[RELEASE] CTF-Pisgah.

Post by Isotoxin »

After some weeks of mapping, I finally finished my first CTF map.

Things what i've done here : - Added some pickups.
- Deleted the upper level.
- 4 Bounchers in the flagbase instead of 2.
- Changed the lighting at some points.
- Added a screenshot, music etc..

Played the map for a bit and I'm definitely enjoying it, but still ...
1. You didn't seal off the upper part, I can still get there using some boosts. This won't be an issue with bots, but it's quite annoying with real players. (see added screenshots)
2. XPickups are pretty interesting, but not so nice for such a small map in my opinion. Also, be careful where you place the shockrifle, it's a very strong weapon afterall.

About to be non-active
My very last UT map project: CTF-FacePalm (tropical CTF-Face remake)
Why do I leave? click here
What I want to do next: Joining an UDK team (uncertain however) and improve 3D modelling and texture editing skills
Thanks to those who visibly supported me until/at the end!

Creavion, the map has about the right size for a iCTF-map, but in my opinion it's a bit small for a nwCTF-map. When I play this map with InstaGib enabled I can still see the XPickup-spots which is why I don't like them in this map.

Isotoxin, I forgot to mention that you misunderstood me with 'upper part'. I didn't mean the upper-middle way, you should've kept that part in the map. ;)

Well, I gotta say that i'm happy about the ned product. Before adding those weapons, I tested it alot, And, the mid upper way was boring. Oh, damn you got a bright sreen..

Isotoxin,
Solid CTF level you made there. Funny, only the blue team bots were attacking??? I specially liked your lighting in the map - not too bright, not too dark - just right. What's not to like? :)

Yes yes, I'm bumping an old thread, but I have a pretty important reason, hear me out.

Been looking for some older maps on the mapping section, aaaaand I cant find this one at all, anywhere! Anyone happen to have it for a reupload, please? :P
