DM-Warehouse UT99 by Mr.POT

Post by Mr.Pot »

Hi again,

I'm uploading another map ...

first, UT 99 brought me on PS2, on which I discovered DM-Hood.

I use to play it a lot with friends and it was amazing and fun.
However, as a mapper, I had to add some stuff, to make it funnier (to me) and more playable including new possibilities.
Then I just decided to copy the main layout and textures.
This map was not complicated to do.

Those who used to play UT on playstation will be happy to find that map, it will for sure, bring you good memories.

I called it Warehouse because of the containers... oh! before I forget, there are more than 3 containers... just find it you'll understand easy haha.

Nice to play 1 vs 1 or... 4 players as in the playstation gametype. 5 Player is the real maximum, only if you want to add more blood on the walls :p.

Enjoy. Mr.Pot.

There's already a dm-hood in one of (or even both) these packs here:

Unless this is more different.

Is there enough room for 7 players and 100 monsters to spawn in? :P

Edit: doesn't matter, I love the map.

No, to quote myself:

Hi,

there you'll find a little more screen shots.
If wanted let me know so i do more but the map isnt that big hehe.

@ Wises : thank you very much for putting them on a server. Its like a child dream to me if I can help UT99 living again, and, if some gamers still have fun on my own map .. how could it be a problem? Thank you very much.

@ Heliumcat : hhahaha no place at all, on PS2 you played it versus 3 bots. I am glad you find an interest in my work, thank you very much for trying it!

I own my company and its hard to find time for leisure ATM, when I'll have free time and mind I can make those maps better with Zone name, Domination or CTF things etc...

Thank you Gex for the link, I truely wanna see how does the real hood looks like. Glad I changed the name :p

Thx!
Mr.POT

EDIT: just took a look to the real hood (I could not find it before this bonus pack, even on PS2 since it burned in 2002), I wanted to make it different but I didnt expect it would be so different. What do you think ? I let my best childhood friend play it on my computer, he recognize it right away lol.... ah memory..

This map would be good to list on GEx's page about having a console experience on the PC

I think the first screenshot represents the map the best way.

Funny how the "simple" maps like this one catch my attention way more than most of those huge, overdetailed "mazes" that appear to represent the "all-time best rated" maps of mapraider.

Hey,

thx. I agree with you but lot of people wants more decoration, more stuff. I want to create map that you recognize, where you never get lost, and where you can have fun spamming bots or fighting.

True UT 99 spirit.
