Are you using the ENB bloom mod ?
You have some bump-mapping going on there.
If that is ENB, you seem to have found a good balance.

I like the mod but why spend all this time making 2k4 for UT? Even bargain machines can run 2k4 now and the game itself is almost given away in price. If you want to play 2k4 just go buy 2k4?

I've played the weapons and although they are OK, you quickly see that they are pale imitations of the originals. Too much gets lost in the backwards movement because 2k4 uses so many overlays and effects even in the default weapons. A good example of this is the lightning gun. The effect is there and from the right angle it's passable but looking straight on or at anything but optimal viewing and you see that it's just not that great. It's not a slam on Cheetah, it's just the limits of what the engine can do and shows what a leap it was when the second generation of the engine was released.

These skins look pretty nice though. It's funny how no one uses the default skins in 2k4, they'd rather play with the default UT ones and here we are trying to do the reverse. I guess you always want what you don't have.
So long, and thanks for all the fish

Good video. There's some nice imports of effects in it. I especially like the weapon wrappers. How was that achieved?

OOh it looks sexy.

You are using a bloom mod of some sort I can see.
If it is ENB, bare in mind, people with different graphics cards will have to use different settings from you :(

The joy of porting 2K4 to UT is that you get to use all the old mods and mutators that have never been remade.
Until we can use the new physics engines in the SDK, the vehicles will still be the biggest let-down.
The modded version of Dots U2 vehicles, work much better than Blackcheeta's conversion.

http://liandri.beyondunreal.com/Cut_con ... _Unreal_II

*NOTE*
Baring in mind the current mood on various sites, I encourage you to make a VERY thorough list of credits with this.
I think It's gonna be big :D

I've never seen your project before but it looks great, especially the last picture that you posted. I saw a few of your videos which gave me a glimpse of what your mod is about and I really liked the maps that fitted nicely with the mood and style of the mod. Are you going to include a few maps with the initial mod release?

Btw, the colorfulness in your mod is truly inspiring, and it totally wipes out that dull mood that I often get. Everything is molted perfectly just like new HUD that you provided in the last picture. Keep up the good work. :D

I'm already anxious about the release of this new weapon mod.

i think forewards porting of ut99 would be better then backwards porting
i have tested one port which was close.. but not quite..is at moddb somewhere.

would be interesting if someone could port the gameplay and weapons over.. and perhaps a few models..or take over that one and tweak it a bit.

get the engine dynamics sussed so.. the rest can follow later.

:tu:

due to the added advantages of the newer engines it would be something else..

also unless epic personally contact u or anyone else to 'cease and desist' i wouldn't worry about any other UT Politics ;)
