Is there some side where I can get explained how to configure Fire Fox to get it as safe as possible?
I use NoScript and disabled the prefetch function ...but I want to know more.

And no ...I don't want change to Opera  ...not now.

According to the blurb on Hermskii's forum, Unreal Mayhem switched company's, which may explain why their new forum won't let me, and probably anyone else, login.

Gotta setup new accounts folks, or give them time to make a full transfer.

I do use FF as well. I actually often end up running them both at the same time.
I read a worrying article about a way round security plugins. If malware gets installed as an extension it then has the same privilege level as the others. It can then bypass some security.

Just had to be something wrong with it...

Apparently the security features on the work computers won't let me goto the new Unreal Mayhem, forum or site. I can fine from home, just not at work.

Well, poo.

Interesting. Do you get blocked from other forums and games sites ?
Often these are not allowed at work.

I will need to know what security suite is running before I can help with that.
for example, Trend and Comodo will block sites via DNS and external lists.
The only way round it is to un-install the blocking software that is part of the security suite, or to report a false-negative in their forums.

Do you lot see why I treat this site reputation subject so seriously ?
As our security software evolves, you will find you get blocked from more and more sites, even though there may be no problem.

For most people It has just been an "annoyance" or "slightly inconvenient", but it will become worse.
The UK monkeys (I refuse to call them a Government) are be forcing all the ISPs to block bad sites (under the guise of blocking porn).
The UK is about to get its own Great Firewall of China (No-one has coined a good name for it yet) :mad2:

Sometimes. Heck, sometimes it's only due to something screwy going on with a particular forum on a certain day.

Thanks for the offer but not looking for a work-around. If I can't access 1 forum from work, espeically 1 I haven't even setup a new account with yet, it's no big deal.

Might be nothing. Lots of forums go down for a few hours due to a glitch or they're doing a major update or something.

Regardless · http://www.unrealadmin.org/forums/ · is currently down.

Page that comes up says it has encountered a problem.
sorry for the double·post but this may be important

Oh I am. I'm very biased. You're in league with Waldo aren't you?

Or maybe I'm just paranoid.

That was fast.

To recap, to site/forum Unreal Mayhem has had for a few years recently got corrupted by Malware.

They then moved to a new location/company. Admittedly the new site/forum was having issues but it was new so that's to be expected.

For the last few days that new Unreal Mayhem has been down.

Link is in the first post of this thread.

Oh well...

Are you sure about unreal-mayhem?

Some months ago i downloaded stuff from there,, tried it again, but um was down.
A few weeks later google said this site was insecure, but also said, it was not a host for spreeing malware for the last 90 days.

Then again, the site was down. Oh, actually it says the site is attacking...

All I know is my anti-virals, which also scan websites I goto, along with my browser which has detecting features built into it, lit up like an XMAS tree when I went to the previous UM site saying it was a Malware risk.

The new location? No malware... but the site/forum isn't loading in any case so it hardly matters.
