[SOLVED] Anyone Portuguese?

Post by Delacroix »

As the sign says: I'm looking for Portuguese Unreal or Unreal Tournament players willing to do a series of translations of small files under my guidance.

Reason: as it stands, Unreal's Portuguese translation is largely incomplete and it could be fixed up for 227j patch's premiere.

Volunteers?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Here is my advice on this: Use a service like google translate first for all of them, and then send the translating person the one needing gramatical corrections along with the english and other language counterparts. I believe spanish is close to portugese, if not then french maybe? What I'm trying to say is you shouldn't need an absolute expert in both languages, any average person who speaks Portugese should be able to do it. Well, good luck

Google sucks, real speakers provide much better result. ;)

I'll pass this URL around to someone to come and tell ya that they could help some.

This has come up before · http://www.ut99.org/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=1573

Seems Ferali, plus a couple other members here, are Portugese.

Google is your friend:

Yup but Ferali left the building ... only chance to get in contact with him is over moddb or e-mail.

Not necessarily. His profile says he was last here May 21, not too long ago, and I do see him pop up in other forums periodically.

Delacroix is a member of some of those, so now knowing he speaks the same language... he can ask about it anytime they cross paths again.

I'll take a quick look off my list of forums. I see anything more recent of him, I'll direct him back to this thread.

Feralidragon was the first to be approached about this, privately. He completely refused to help as he's done with U1/UT. It's a damn shame.

I am not sure. There is a Portuguese guy - "VitZ". I think you can find him here: www.globalunreal.com
Maybe he can help you.

Naruto_9 speaks Portuguese - and he decided to help me out. This particular topic can now be locked as its purpose is no more.

New topics will be opened depending on which language I'll need translations from, if I don't find a volunteer on my own. Thanks for any attempts of help you have made, they are appreciated regardless of the effect.
