Well that depends on you :loool: Personally I can set up UT on new PC from install to playable state (with my tweaks applied) within half an hour.
Half an hour? Damn. I got UT99 with all the new graphics (UTRP, Extension Pack Demo, New renderers), server-side anticheats, bonus packs, Dual Core Fix, Jailbreak, Double Domination, Tactical Ops, Rocket Arena, Chaos UT, a few new maps, 436 Creative, 451b, 451b Update, and some other stuff installed to a playable state on a 4GB flash drive within 20 minutes. I was also using Wine and a Umod browser (which surprisingly worked correctly on Wine) to run everything because my Windows XP was infected.

You can try deleting/moving UnrealTournament.ini and User.ini and then try D3D9, if it works, then you have some incorrect/corrupt entries in your INI files that cause the crash.

Should I use the S3TC High End textures or the S3TC Epic textures?

S3TC High End textures of course since they'll offer greater visuals.

Thanks!

Sorry but I am useless at things like this and I'm being realy careful because I just got a new computer and I messed my other one up by doing things like this wrong too many times.

So do I download all 4 packages?

Well if worst comes worst you can always reinstall UT since messing up your operating system is very unlikely to happen.
And yes - download them all.

I don't know if you've seen my thread or not, but I need the help of as many of you guys as possible for creating a glitch-free environment for UTRP textures online. Anyway I see that there are a lot of you tweaking your graphics and that there are a lot of servers that can't handle UTRP, so I'm starting a movement to pressure admins to correct their servers. Check out the link under my signature for details.
