Source:Q: Where can I find the End-User License Agreement (EULA)?
To read the EULA, right-click (or cmd-click) the game's .APP file and click "Show package contents". The EULA can be found inside.

I may have seen this a while back in one of those time machine sites of unrealtournament.com. I have no idea how I'd find this time machine site though
I recall a passage about the terms of using epicgames.com the domain and forums which I am very interested in. The rest could be interesting too

Re: Anyone bought their game from GOG.com?
Well there was no paper in mine but by Atari, they inserted a very little info in a .pdf which Idk if it'll do any good. It was only on CD1 and didn't find anything on CD2.

Seem like steam have a manual as well: http://store.steampowered.com/manual/13240 but it seem like u have to have the game installed by steam in order to read this.

Here's a question though (or two). If it were terms for using an online service, and those terms were only viewable online, and now they are gone. Would those terms still apply? Or would it fall back to what is generally deemed illegal and prosecuted through laws unrelated to TOS/EULA?

Re: Anyone bought their game from GOG.com?
I'd like to see that FB link? I seriously doubt that they can force an EULA on clients via FB?!?!?!?Chamberly wrote:Yep... via FB.papercoffee wrote:Epic did?Chamberly wrote:Lol Epic sent me a link to this: http://wiki.beyondunreal.com/Unreal_Tou ... _agreement

I obtained the legal version (in fact multiple versions), I don't see any legal way to set aside anything official via FB which wasn't even inventet(founded febraury 2004) at the time UT99 was released?
I myself have tried contacting EPIC to get their response to this, even posted about it public on their forums.... no official answer yet!!
The WIKI at beyondunreal is very very limited in text - and written by a person outside of EPIC - I find it very unlikely that they would Refer to such source as the official End User License Agreement?
Let me quote the top text from that particular WIKI:
How on eath can that apply to say my Anthology and stand alone G.O.T.Y version? .... it can't - not legaly! The EULA apply to the product you purchase, you cannot expect of the client WHO purchase a product to look for the End User License Agreement in another product? Maybe you could legaly if it was mentioned in the purchased product - but it's not!is the end-user license agreement included in the PDF manual of the UT Game of the Year edition that is part of the "Totally Unreal" compilation

Re: Anyone bought their game from GOG.com?
Well, never mind the Epic part, misread what I was looking at. But got the info from Unreal Tournament here (https://www.facebook.com/UnrealTournament).
I asked in the PM so, the response is from there. I thought Epic is part of UT so... maybe that's how I got confused. lol.
Now if Epic really didn't reply... Hmm. I don't know. Maybe it is different for each CD producers.

Re: Anyone bought their game from GOG.com?
I'm sorry, but I can't find anything on their FB site that links to an EULA?
If you look here: https://forums.epicgames.com/threads/98 ... ament-EULA You will see why Wormbo added the EULA to the WIKI you linked to in your post - while you will also see Epic refrain from answering the questions raised in that topic.
if you see here: http://www.forum.unrealtournament.info/ ... hp?f=8&t=9 You'll see the part that regards modding from the last known official source - which is now offline and therefore cannot be considdered in effect anymore. So - we are back to having to resolve to the printed version on our obtained copy of the game. Therefore if you have multiple copies like me - the EULA in effect will be the EULA attached to the version you currently have installed on your system.
Whatever you recieve official from EPIC via PM only apply to you in person if this content is not public available somewhere on the official website(s?) and crystal clear states that it replaces prior EULA's for a crystal clear defined game or series of a game.
Now if you study what is online things begin to get interesting, because Epic took the "old" EULA offline in the same period that they released their new v4 Engine - and that ofcause has to include a new EULA for that engine since they now allow people to profit from it, look here: https://www.unrealengine.com/eula I understand Epic would not want to have multiple EULA's online as that can cause confuzion and unwated lawyer fees? Here I'm just wondering and reflecting over the changes - don't pay too much attention to what I am speaking of here. But in this new EULA you can see interesting content such as:

Which could lead to assumptions that it also covers UT99 as this new EULA states to be in effect from 1998 and forth? So ...... The old EULA strickly prohibitted us from profitting on mods for UT99, but if the new EULA apply for ut99 then the game has suddenldy changed in another direction? We can then profit from our work and Epic will ofcause get their 5% in royalty according to this new EULA? ......... And - though I just briefly have gone through this new EULA I no longer see the restriction that we are not allowed to change the game executives? That was written in stone in the old EULA..... so ... If only Epic would come with a public statement towards this it would be awesome!“Unreal® Engine, Copyright 1998 – xxxx, Epic Games, Inc. All rights reserved.”

Re: Anyone bought their game from GOG.com?
I said I messed up, it wasn't sent by Epic. I didn't mention anything but was using a Private message to obtain the link.
But I could try asking Epic if they would refer to a better answer other than the link to the wiki thread from the 1 I got. Sometimes private messaging a few times may work.
