Hey folks,
I haven't been as UT active , lately but feel like this may affect some FZ users here.
Another update that breaks things.
You might see an error like:
Error: Connection timed out
Error: Failed to retrieve directory listing
The problem I see is that firewalls and NAT routers that aren't configured correctly for FTP over TLS, which is now enabled by default in FileZilla.
On to the fix: if you've been connecting from your Quickconnect history, You'll need to Use Site Manager from File menu. Create the site here & change the Encrytption dropdown to "Plain FTP".
I hope this helps.
After update, Filezilla FTP client doesn't connect.

Does filezilla still store passwords in plain text?
∆ https://forum.filezilla-project.org/vie ... hp?t=30765
perhaps try FireFTP which only works with Firefox Web Browser.
however is Quick , Effective & Free as well.
to get around insecure password storage remember to set a MasterPassword for FF which should be standard practice if you click 'save password' in the Browser.
Another cool Add-on by same author is FireSSH which can be used for.. well... Ssh connections
