IRC Channel for UT99 users?

Just download mIRC from http://www.mirc.com/ , install it (you dont have to register), start it, and write "/server irc.utchat.com", then "/join #ut99" and then "/nick [yournickname]". Done.

hmm he tells me "Could'nt look up your hostname" when i try to connect on irc.utchat.com server and connects me to GlobalGamers Server :/

Be to honest, I am very critical about this. I don`t know, if this is really worthwhile. ut99.org is more or less one of the smaller ut forums.

Yes i know. Our UT Channel is empty all the time... but some people here wanted one. so i created one.
And our forum is not the biggest... but we are growing. And we will growing faster if i will make the Site Update (+ Server). (And hopefully the second mappack gets more positive critism.)

#ut99 is ready and waiting on quakenet... It's got no one in there because Shade refused to advertise it on here (i have no idea why).
Me and Nix are always there there ^^ come and see us, we're lonely

There's also #UT on quakenet, which is mostly full of UT99ers atm, lol.

use any IRC-Client.
Easiest way it is to use the client on mozilla, if u have installed.
U also can use any other client.

Start Client and type:

/join irc.utchat.com

(this will connect to mainserver)

/join #ut99

(this will connect to ut99-channel)

Now You should be online on community-channel.



Same orders U can use in UT



Otherwise U can edit the "UnrealTournament.in" by Yourself:

Open file with Notepad:
Go down to (ca. 75% of Textlenght):

[UBrowser.UBrowserIRCSetupClient]

Type:

IRCServerHistory[0]=irc.utchat.com
.
.
.
.
.
IRCChannelHistory[0]=#ut99
.
.
.

This will automatically save the channel as Standart-Connection.

Quakenet is mostly used by Europeans, there are tons of channels that are up and still running for years. Also, there are quite many PUG channels if you're bored.

It makes me cry, every day I visit our community channel on IRC....
Most time there is only MYTH or a friend of mine ACHALA!

Why does nobody use our channel?

I know, U can only reach and join 1 server.... Do u use Quakenet, and so, U cannot join the channel?

BTW: Be careful, It could be, I must "headshot" U, if I follow U to any map, u will play!!!!

PS: I prefer to use "IRC-MANIA IRC SCRIPT" or use script, which is included in UT!
