Hello,
My name is Madis. I'm an 18-year old student and assistant database manager. I'm also an Unreal Universe "faggot", or so to speak, and a Strangelove enthusiast. I've recently also started mapping for UT99 to contribute something to the long life of Unreal Tournament.
So, what made me sign up here? Well, it seems like a great and an active community for UT, and it seems like a possible place to publish my mapping and also promote Strangelove on the sidelines

Sometimes life forces you to neglect school (to some extent) and start pursuing a carreer very early on. I've been working from since I was 14 years old, and for almost 2 years now, done professional work.Shade wrote:Welcome Madis!

Anyway, map shots - Almost all of these maps are Strangelove-related, so the build of the maps can be described with one word - large.
my 1st map - http://www.ut-slv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=83&t=1862
my 2nd map -

(still work-in-progress - this map is a hybrid between strangelove and normal gameplay. Scale of the map is similar to CTF-Face - it's large, with some possibility for sniping )
my 4th map - http://www.ut-slv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=83&t=2195

Strangelove map. Needs a redo since it's too high poly and lags low-end pc owners
Edit: removed image tags since by the board rules, these images stretch the page too much

Re: Introduction
Yeah, that's what I've been told
Since I'm still a newbie into mapping (a tad bit under 2 months), I don't know all the tricks of the trade yet, but luckily I got some good hints from a veteran mapper a few days ago. And also, one of the major motivations to sign up here was to learn something and to get constructive criticism (in which case you should take into consideration that they're strangelove maps )
