It's sad because most people won't understand how much those two guys did for online gaming for years and years. Years back I messaged them about permission to download all the UT skins. I didn't want to hit download after download for all those hundreds of files without someone saying it was OK. In fact one of the brothers messaged me back and not only gave me permission to get them but he zipped all the files into a single download then gave me FTP access to grab the file. I was able to download every thing they had in one easy move.

There's a hundred positive stories about AG giving and helping behind the scenes and they will never get the recognition they deserve. Salute to Atomic Gamer and all that they have accomplished. Thank you guys for everything.
So long, and thanks for all the fish

Glad I popped in on this. Naturally I only used that site as a skin source, as Skin City stored its skins there after it lost its original hosting source. Popped over just now to confirm.

Turns out, all is not lost. http://skincity.beyondunreal.com/ made a new post on their front page back in March. Fairly brief, but listing this · https://ut.rushbase.net/beyondunreal/skincity

So, if Atomic Gamer goes away at least we'll still have access to Skin City's content.

Additive: Popped over to AG's news feed, they don't list any closing of their site I can see.

Well, I can't even download from the site.

Besides the 2 ~ 3 minute wait for each file, after the download is ready, I click and nothing happens....times out. Tried on a couple of different browsers, with and without any adblock software...same result.

So, not only is the site going down, but some of us can't access what is there while its there.

AG's tempermental but I've never had a problem with it. I select what I want, wait the 2 minutes, an electronic voice tells me when the download is ready, and the download itself takes barely a second.

Have you tried https://ut.rushbase.net/beyondunreal/skincity yet? There's no download wait. It's practically instantaneous!

Thanks EG. I thankfully got gopostal's skin dump some time ago; that was from AG.

Not sure why the site won't work for me....country restrictions? GameFront is the same.

To me they were a bit like file planet / game spy and quite a remain of gaming history and download sites.
They weren't that great but they did the job

Still Atomicgamer (3d downloads and such sites who have merged around it) was quite better than FilePlanet at some point, even if it had the shitty wait time they never put any stupid download manager and you weren't forced to be registered.
I also miss levels4you who disappeared in 2011 (and strangely most of its downloads aren't available now as some people took them and ...) and at some point gamefront as they block through countries.
Fileshack also went down as shacknews shutted it down, gamespot has removed its downloadw when they rebuilt their site ...
bah ...

I know it costs to have servers and such, but really ...

Actually everything from beyond unreal is safe, however an ancient site called Unrealism had downloads in there but I could find it here
https://ia601507.us.archive.org/tarview ... ealism.tar

I don't know if they have other unreal files aside of those from Beyond Unreal, but that's the ones from Unrealism

So you can take what's from BU and Unrealism, some files are shared while others are unique to each other

http://www.looki.de/downloads/?site=392 ... tal=newest
I'm also wondering who can access these, I believe a german can, but I can't here

If someone could upload these stuff elsewhere, that would be great ... I think it's mostly the unique files because some others who are common to the rest doesn't need to ...

And for those who missed it because it was temporarily unavailable
