Sorry folks, I will stick with mapping stuff, but all these places die off so bad, only if they didn't let nalicity fail, or rebuild it. It could have been strong even today with UT4.

I remember when game servers was good, now it's all pay to play I think, not even sure that is around anymore, strong point being the redirect server, was great.

The cause of all things bad in my life can be attributed to the death of ut2003hq.com and Nalicity. Whoever brings any one of them back and to its full glory, I will consider a god and I will personally travel to wherever he is to give him physical rewards.

I do. Now, let's define "worth" and "value".

Things have meaning and your inability to understand that doesn't make it untrue; even your "trash" is worth preserving. If not for quality - which has never been the argument - then for it's own sake.

I might ask you to forward a real argument against preserving files that doesn't involve the word "I".

I too have found many old dead links, but often because the link format had changed.
Most of the empty folders of GameFront are just hidden. The files uploaded by certain groups or by maintained accounts are findable with a search engine.
Once you know what file you want, use a site search (site:gamefront.com) with your file name or search phrase.

I warned everyone this was coming when they last changed their policy.
Once a download site becomes so big it needs advertising and "investors" to survive, it starts to compromise its self, and then finally collapses.
Thankfully ModDB also mirror to other services, so losing GameFront should not affect too many users there.

The Mapraider method is the only long-term solution, because it does not require the mapraider server to be functional or the mirrors to be reachable.
If more people go back to using sustainable p2p methods (not torrents), then all the files continue to be available.
Every time I go online with Shareaza I instantly share about 230 GB of files. Torrent users only share a few files at a time.

2.8TB. This is for the entire Unreal series; I am not at home right now, so I can't give specifics regarding UT alone.

I do have some trouble with Shareaza personally; I just can't seem to get it to connect to specific shares. I have reached out to you many times to your exhaustion (and followed each and every detailed guide you have written), and I don't consider myself incompetent in this way, but there is something wrong. Connecting to your share or even Mapraider simply doesn't work out.

So, how much do I share? Perhaps nothing; if I can't connect to others, this may imply that they in turn cannot connect to me.
