Sent as PM.

That was also the case in one of the Laptops I had on my work bench: "My windows crashes suddenly again and again". The fan grate was full of dust and hairs... After cleaning that Laptop's Windows runs continuously without crashing again.

Thanks to certain Barbie ...I don't want to say who... I am now a proud possessor of a 5 year old running machine.
You are my Hero.

Only thing left as a little problem:
UT is running wobbly ...I mean the mouse has a lag. When I move it the picture moves milliseconds behind.
Mouse acceleration is off.
The DPI of the mouse are set to the lowest.
And still the mouse lag.

The UT is copied from the old install and I used the registry fix. The original installation was on a single core machine (long ago before the laptop) to prevent the multi-core bug.

The HDD was never the problem ...it was the motherboard of the laptop.

I use HWiNFO. I recommend HWiNFO.
"Everyone is an idea man. Everybody thinks they have a revolutionary new game concept that no one else has ever thought of. Having cool ideas will rarely get you anywhere in the games industry. You have to be able to implement your ideas or provide some useful skill. Never join a project whose idea man or leader has no obvious development skills. Never join a project that only has a web designer. You have your own ideas. Focus on them carefully and in small chunks and you will be able to develop cool projects."
