[Solved] Can I get my account deleted?

The whole thing. Posts, the fact that the username exists, basically everything.
I don't see an option anywhere and I don't really do anything here anymore and I don't like leaving accounts around you know.

No big loss if they grant your request... but why not stick around? You may change your mind later.

We discourage account and post deletion for a simple reason.
When threads contain replies or a conversation, once you remove parts (especially the first post) it makes the following thread disjointed or meaningless.
We would then have to decide if other peoples posts need to be moved or deleted to clean-up, and we don't delete posts, for the reason above.

I understand this request may be due to simple clearance of obsolete accounts, but suggest that as long as you used a unique and random password here, you do not need to worry about an old account being a security problem.

You can edit your posts, change your email to something fake, type a random password in a text editor, copy and paste it and there you have a disabled account with a password not even you know.

We would also most urgently discourage you from editing the posts to kill the content.
It would result in the same chaos in those threads ...let it stay and ignore it.

For the password I would recommend to bang your head 15 times randomly on you keyboard. Don't read what came out as PW just copy-paste it and you're done.

Perhaps it's because he's employed the same username on a variety of messageboards and doesn't want anyone to follow his web-trodden footsteps. Maybe he wants to purge that online persona completely for one reason or another.

Then, he should write a PM to Flay or Gecko to explain it. 3 posts and the third post was his request to delete his account... ...well.
