1) You can skim past that!
2) It's worth a watch. Guy's been playing UT since he was 8 years old. He even interviews his aunt (she introduced him to ut99) about the recent changes.
3) I promise the shriek at the beginning is the only shriek in the whole thing.

Watch it!

Sad, and Cabon is WRONG. !!!! :!: :!: :!:

The only modification that would improve UT is making the grenades act the same as Quake 1.

You can leave a trail behind you, and is a friggin riot for some following fool.

Also Quake 1 grenades are like playing pool geometry, bounce those F-ers to the EXACT spot.

But then, they don't explode right away nor if you walk on them as you leave a trail of them behind you. it's just a friggen awesome thing. (for online)

So it looks like if they don't take his advice, goodbye Unreal. :(

What am I wrong about? That people read faster than they listen? That the video could be put into a paragraph? Those are facts, unarguable. If you think it's worth watching, then great, but that doesn't make me wrong.

I did watch it and as expected, it gets quite repetitive and redundant despite making some good points. People have a natural tendency to overstate things when speaking, something that writing makes painfully obvious.

Glad you enjoyed it but I prefer the written word.

I think I was thinking about the meme comment part. (between beers) it makes it put the point across better.

Hey, Carbon... shed the XMAS ears on your space-bunny!

*ahem*

Fans of ChaosUT may be interested to know the UT4 version is getting a hoverboard.

Just seeing activity here. I wanna recall you a little thing: Topic title is wrong a bit. Future on UnrealTournament is another Engine, by example XCGE and not UT4. UT4 doesn't have nothing in common with UT - is just another shooter  .
The rest of complaints can go right in desired forum - here is pretty pointless - mainly developers are there with a lot ideas in how to make UT a non UT game.

So now you want off-topic to be on-topic?

You mean other than the fact both have "UT" in them?

I was speaking about title not the topic/off-topic, which is another myth, all, but ALL people addicted to UT'99 won't leave this game that easy regarding to these OFF-Topic triggers and spam for trash-box.
I repeat, UT'99 is just UT'99, the only match with UT4 are two letters "U","T" and nothing else.

I don't like the direction of that new UT, but it's pretty funny to say the future of UT is this obscure alternate enfine for an old game we're at most 5 to still play and not this hugely popular new state-of-the-art game. :P
You must construct additional pylons.

You act like something is being taken away from you. Fine, play UT99. Nobody is trying to stop you.

Hate the new game all you like, but it's not going anywhere and it's the next UT. Don't expect everyone to have the same attitude as you. Hating on the new game does nothing at all; it won't make UT99 more popular or any better and if Epic doesn't do well with the new game, UT99 will also suffer in the end.

It's in everyone's best interest for the new game to succeed. Try a longer view on things.

Wait, small details in what I'm saying. Readers looking in BookMarks (or no BookMarks) for UT'99, I guess they don't hunt UT4 stuff/mutators at UT99.org - is not the right place. So what we have then ? Spam, nothing less, nothing more.

No, we have something off topic in an off topic section.

That's why this section exists ...the mods would not allow a UT4 thread somewhere else on the forum.
Or a UT2k4 or UT3 or what ever. Unreal is a different case ...it can be made compatible with UT99 and vice versa.
(of course can it be that something slipped their attention)
