I was talking about maps that have never been published but that could be completed and published, not about publishing unfinished maps.

Your question is pretty much non-consequential, since the answer doesn't really matter.

Think about it for a moment: if such a map was never published, never talked about, and you're the only person that knows about it, what exactly prevents you from just finishing it and submitting as something completely new?

It all comes down to your own consciousness: if there's proof the map was already started before, then your map cannot be submitted to the contest itself, if not, it all comes down to your own set of morals in whether you will be honest and start something new with a clean conscience, or if you will be dishonest and finish something that you didn't tell anyone it existed beforehand.

I think i will add the Stalwart][ map as bonus to the 20AC mappack because it fits the theme really well.

Edit: I need the badge. Stalwart][ is ready for rollout.

I would like to join however I'm juggling a lot of stuff at the moment so I'm not sure if I have the time and energy to make something this time around.

So, do i understand it correctly that if you want to join the contest, you will have to make the map from scratch, but if you already have a nearly finished unreleased map, you can enter it as 'bonus content' but will not join the contest attached to the mappack?

It's that simple:

1. If you have an unreleased map no one knows about -> you can use it (who can check?)
2. If you have an unreleased map which is advertised anywhere (see my map) -> Bonus content
