I dislike the ripper. Too ineffective to be used properly.

It's pretty effective in MH because of its head-shot ability.

I've never played and am not interested in MH, I can't judge. I never found a way to use the ripper efficiently against players, except by saturating a room with blades from behind a corner. It takes too long and too many ammo compared to a flak load ricocheting from behind the same corner.
