[UT4] Special Weekend: Throwback 99 Classics!

As this event is all about classic UT99 maps in the new UT4 engine, I thought it may be worth sharing.
Hopefully they will have the twitch stream showing the matches, so those of us that cannot join-in can watch.




MPForums.com Throwback 99 Classics
Will be holding a special deathmatch gaming event throughout the world this weekend with servers in the United States, Germany and The Netherlands.
They will run only remakes of maps from Unreal Tournament 99 GOTY during the weekend, both original Epic Games maps and popular ones from other authors back then.
The maps were created/ported over by a number of community members whom include MoxNox and barsam2 and they are splendid maps
Please keep in mind those maps are all a "Work in Progress" and do not reflect the authors final touch.

Servers
Look for servers with the name "MPForums.com Throwback 99 Classics" in the list, or simply filter "MPF" to find them.
They are all set to 16 players maximum and 12 minutes per map.

One note, i just noticed, long story short:
- i created an account years ago on twitch for mpf, lost access to it, created a new one, stopped using the new one, acquired access to old account, started using the old original account again.
The twitch address is actually we dont use the mpforums one anymore lol :/ sry Could you update your post?

We are strictly UT99 here, but due to the amount of ported material out there, the lines are a bit blurred.
I personally play UT99 in Unreal so I can use the superior engine, and I play Unreal in UT99 so I can use Chaos and Nali Weapons.
In UT2004 I play game modes I describe as "Counterstike Tournament Battlefield Z", which don't really match any UT games.
I may post some old vids at your site to illustrate my style of mix and edits.

Yea this upcoming Friday the 24th of June till Monday the 27th of June 2016 (I will initiate the event at around 1AM Friday morning my time GMT+1 and end it around 11AM Monday morning my time GMT+1)

There is no need really to give ip's, its alot faster to simply hit MPF in the "Filter results by" option in UT4's serverbrowser and press enter and it will list all our servers there.
But if you insist on using the IP's:

IP & Port: 82.75.60.119:7777 (NL - New Maps 16p)
IP & Port: 82.75.60.119:8888 (NL2 - New Maps 16p)
IP & Port: 144.76.34.204:11111 (DE - New Maps 16p)
IP & Port: 144.76.34.204:12222 (DE - New Maps [DUEL] 2p)
IP & Port: 74.91.113.100:10000 (US - New Maps 16p)
IP & Port: 74.91.113.100:9999 (US2 - New Maps 16p)

Those 5 servers will run the weekend with only the UT99 remakes i posted about. Maprotation may be slightly updated soon as some mappers told me they are working on their next remake version for this weekend.

Cool vid, great way to start it.
I managed to watch some of the matches while I was doing other things.
Some maps I recognised immediately, but a few I didn't (I am not sure I ever played all the original maps).
I look forward to the next event, and maybe we can even throw some Chaos Relics into the mix.

Isn,t it a good idea to run these servers permanetly.
Or maby you can go in trouble with the lease of the server.
I mean normaly they run other game types instead of these mods?
Sounds cool to me to run these for all time with ut 99 mod on those servers.
Maby its just to expencive to runs these servers i think.

Not sure how permanent these are, but Multiplayer Forums have setup 2 new UT4 servers with only UT99 maps.
One in the EU and 1 in the USA.
