Erm, a little more than one map, but really I think the Scarred One at the end is the bit to look at. Truly an epic battle...

I loved Kamah and the whole UTR pack, and thanks to all the talented mappers!
Warning: In a couple of months I'll be asking where UTR2 is. (lol)

Re: MAPS - the best maps made by community
I guess "best map" is always in the eye of the beholder and for obvious reasons.
Personally I like maps that complement the weapon in use, as well as my style of play.
For example: bigger maps for bigger weapons (redeemer/rifles) and smaller maps for
smaller close contact weapons (pistols).
And then there's eye appeal which we all like.

Favorite Maps?
There are always the classics by DavidM, Platinum and Tonnberry. [1on1 lego, Revenge, Alpu]
Then there's the more avant-garde mapping styles of Swanky and Kami. [Dipolarity, SiberiaN23]
However, I think the two most overlooked mappers would be Colin "Lruce Bee" Murphy http://www.mapraider.com/maps/?fileid=785
and perhaps Chrysaor http://www.mapraider.com/maps/?fileid=3147 or Jesus "n3o doc" Diaz.
Oh, and anything by SabbathCat. He pretty much coined a gametype and makes ridiculously clean maps with perfect color balance and wicked textures.

Re: MAPS - the best maps made by community
Okay, I want to do something different for a few nights (besides retexturing a huge 10-year old map). I want a break - So I was thinking I might try (offline) some alternate gametypes I haven't really played before... So that would be MH and/or BT. Now I have a small number of MH maps, but these I just looked at in the editor. BT I have a few of those and played them, but didn't "get it" at the time - erm, still don't but I'm willing to give it a try since it seems to be popular...
I don't want to do a lot of looking right now and have to fish through maps (lazy) but if some kind MH'ers and BT'ers point me at a top-10 list (or just post one I'd really appreciate it!
Thanks

Re: MAPS - the best maps made by community
im a BT-er and i cant say its a top-10 cuz there so much maps that i forget them, even the good ones, but i can say that these are good ones and the difficulties vary. also i dont name the versions.
- BT-AnIntroToBT (made by an currently inactive or either gone VRN clanmember) or BT-Academy ( not the ][ version ) are good maps for beginners to get to the basics of BT.
- BT-BehindSunrise is always the map that comes up first to me, its some kind of adventurous map with some secrets too.
- BT-Efreet and old one played alot in cups, if you can cap this map then youre somewhere in the middle of btskills
- BT-II-DoubleVision a map that has to be played with teams of 2 players, had lots of fun with my friends.
- BT-OcarinaOfTime The famous n64 game on UT, nice environments you remember from the game and sounds too. a bit hard but that depends also which version you play.
- BT-Rebirth nice themed map a bit laggy outside but cool obstacles and i had fun playing this in the cup.
- BT-TheLostJournal a hard map with a very nice theme and background. also super fun in cup.
- BT-UnCommon dunno but its like the longest map and youd think you would hate it but i love it. you will be very pleased when you can cap this.
- BT-TotalNoobish a map not winning a price for design but i still love it cuz its an old one and i always loved to play it.
- All maps made by Null are perfect
there are many many more id say look in some bt-communities and check there
