We had that similar several times. The assumption was that the file "Botpack.u" is corrupt. Here are some checksums for it:

mine seems to be a different file size. I have no clue how to use the other things crc etc.

So do I need to do a reinstall? I did finally manage to spectate on barbiesworld so I guess I can get online with my botpack.u file on some servers? I don't know..

as said now the cause is clear.
Think by yourself; ''did i got this game through a legal way, or did i got it from unverified source?''
If you got it from a unverified source, just buy the game from gog.com

This is a totally legal store bought version. I have the original game i bought back in 2000 or so and then I have a box set with all the unreals . I think i installed the box set because the original game cd is pretty scratchy plus I have 2004 from the box set on computer now. The bottom line is I have paid for this game 2 times legit and yes the install I did was from those legit bought games.
I'm not buying it a third time unless my cd's wont work anymore. The box set actually was a christmas gift so I didn't buy that one.

After I installed it I have a lot of unreal stuff from my map making on an external drive that I copy over plus maps, brushes I have made, meshes, etc. I don't know how my botpack is a different size but I will reinstall from cd, and when I copy over stuff from my external disk drive from the past I'll be carefull not to copy over any botpack.u file. Usually I just copy over entire folders and say don't copy everything that is the same. I don't copy 1 file at a time so I have no clue how this file is different even my external hard drive should have the correct file. I've never installed a non legit unreal tournament game.

It's probably a v469 issue, will be fixed so don't worry. A map switch and you'll be in again.
