and i noticed that my internet runs really slow.
i have DSL.
i have been running 54Mbps.
i have quiet a few server packages and such.
but i don't really wanna remove it,
cause i spent so much time trying to figure it out.

i cant really offer much help here but , having a redirect would lighten the load, anytime someone tries to download files to get maps or server packages, as they are draining you everytime a map changes. or when a new client joins. also theres a formula or rule of thumb for working out how many connections you can have to your server regards the internet connection/speed you have.
theres a guide to setting up a home server in pdf format, floating around on this site if i recall correctly its mentioned in there.

hope it helps a little.
