Back after nearly two years

I'm back! Probably no one remembers me, I was the guy making that Unreal Gold 2.5D platformer. I had since moved on to make a game in Godot instead of a mod (videos below for reference), but I've come back because I want to start making UT99 maps and releasing them. I have a CTF-Noxion edit I need to release to start, but it has some pathing issues right now. I've also been working on an edit of Plutonia Experiment (Doom 2 WAD) so I'll be posting some stuff of that in offtopic from time to time. I'm also way down for deathmatch, any time. Glad to see this community has actually stayed active. :mrgreen:

Also, linedef? I remember that word from like, Doom, or something, heh :p

Like you, I did also have a game project, which I abandoned, and I'm also doing it over. It is a fresh attempt, with more skills and a tool I wrote myself using Python, but I didn't change engines. Both projects are ZDoom projects, to put it shortly. But I digress.

Guilty. I've borrowed plenty of terms from Doom and Unreal, like Pawn, Actor, Linedef, Decoration, and so on. lol

Well you got me to download godot, if that helps. Yes I do remember you, we still need a full playable map.

Uh oh, wait for the next version. It is getting an update adding Vulkan renderer. Also GDScript (scripting language) is getting a massive rewrite.

That mod is partly what inspired me, at least Unreal 2D was. I have issues with movement and camera in the mod, but it is a fun idea.
